PDC bit is devided into two types: PDC steel body bit and PDC matrix body bit.
PDC steel body bit is made by PDC cutters and steel body. Steel body is machined by Ni, Mo, Cr alloy steel. After heat treatment holes are drilled to the body, then PDC cutters are welded on the bit body, after finishing surface treatment,a steel body PDC bit is finished to manufacture. PDC steel body bit is widely used in soft rocks of hole drilling, its cost is lower 20% when compare with matrix body bit.

PDC matrix body bit is sintered by tungsten carbide powder, PDC cutters are weld on tungsten carbide matrix body, natural diamond is as the bit gauge. Tungsten carbide is a special metal, it is high wear-resistance and impact toughness, it is also resistant to erosion.

PDC matrix body bit is a new design bit, it is very wear-resistant and impact toughness, when the PDC cutters are broken in the head, you can release the pdc and weld on new pdc cutters on the body. So PDC bit has a long service life and high drilling efficiency.
